Opening film of the Michel Children’s and Youth Film Festival at the Filmfest Hamburg
World explorer and adventurer Willi Weitzel (“Willi will’s Wissen”) embarks on an adventurous journey into the multifarious, dazzling world of amphibians. He is instigated to do so by his 11-year-old neighbor Luna, who is fighting to preserve the frog pond in her village. The seemingly insignificant little pond is at the center of the big questions revolving around conservation, sustainability and the power of community action.
Joining Willi Weitzel, under Markus Dietrich’s direction, is Ellis Drews in the role of Luna. She has already appeared in the series “Löwenzahn” and “Siebenstein”. Miriam Stein, Sönke Möhring, Lupo Grujcic, Malte Basquiat Comoe, Ferdinand Dörfler and guest stars Suzanne von Borsody and Annika Preil, known from the KiKA series “Anna and the Wild Animals”, can be seen in further roles.
